In August 2005, LAVWMA completed design and construction of the $170 million Export Pipeline Facilities Program. This program including repairing or replacing the LAVWMA pipeline system to extend the useful life of the original export pipeline which was corroding and in need of repair. This program also provided additional capacity necessary to meet the needs of planned growth within the LAVWMA member agencies' service areas.
